Make Up Revolution Sugar and Spice Blush and Contour Palette

Make Up Revolution Sugar and Spice Blush and Contour Palette

Make Up Revolution have been making their way around the bloggersphere ever since they came on to the scene 6 months ago - everyone has been raving about their products, and finally I was able to get my hands on them when I found out which Superdrug store near me sold them. For me, I always prefer to buy make-up in store rather than online as I always like to swatch things first - being pale, my skin is always tricky to buy colours for.

One of the items I decided to pick up during my mini Make Up Revolution haul was this! The Sugar and Spice Blush and Contour palette - there are two blush and contour palettes too choose from but I decided that this one would go better with my skin tone and I also thought it housed better colours for the coming Autumn/Winter months.

This palette features a range of deep dusty pinks, to dark barbie pinks to naturals - so there is definitely something for everyone - there are two shimmers on the end, a highlight and a pink shimmer, amazing to add a bit of shimmer or help to spice up an evening makeup!

I really like the packaging of Make Up Revolution too - black and gold make it look and feel so much more expensive that the £6 price tag, making it an absolute bargain! Especially when you divide that by 8 and see it's only 75p per blush! You really can't get better than that.  My favourite two shades are the dusty deep rose and the brighter pink next to it, both in the bottom left of the palette. I think they go really nice with my skin tone and I can see myself wearing a lot of them in the coming winter months to add a nice rosey flush to my cheeks.

As you can see there is definitely a shade for everyone. Personally, I wouldn't use any of these shades to contour, because as I said, my skin is a funny shade and most things look too pink or too orange on me to work as a contour product, but the rest of the pinks in the Sugar and Spice blush and contour palette are gorgeous and the shimmers will look beautiful for nights out in the winter months!

The pigmentation is also incredibly impressive! I wasn't expecting such good pay off - especially when you look at the price tag of this incredible palette. These blushes are also long lasting so if you are going to be wearing them for a look period of time you won't need to worry about them fading. Which is good because considering they are in quite are large palette, they aren;t really travel friendly, which is no problem at all considering their brilliant pigmentation and staying power.

I really can't wait to pick up some more items from Make Up Revolution - whilst I was there, I also picked up the Flawless Eyes like Angels palette and the Welcome to the Pleasuredome palette as well, but I can already see myself buying a lot more from the Make Up Revolution range, especially if the rest of the products are such as good quality as this for the small price tag Make Up Revolution offer.

Have you tried make up revolution yet? If so, what's your favourite product?

  1. So pretty! I agree that you can't really contour with this palette. I think the closest contouring you can do is with the top right shimmer :)
