MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter

So I've been meaning to do this post for a while, however I wanted to give this product a few more weeks just to try and love it before I went ahead with this post. That sentence alone probably tells you what I think about this highlighter.  I know this little highlighter was a cult product among the blogging community, so as soon as i got the chance i grabbed it from the MUA stand and popped it in my basket and so it came home with me.

MUA Undress Your Skin

At £3 this is meant to be one of the best budget highlighters on the high street, so you can imagine my excitement when I finally got  my paws on this little thing. However when I it it home and went to use it, I found that it  lot more pinked toned and a lot more shimmery than I thought it would be. Imagine what fish scales look like - it's that kind of pink shimmer and to be honest it didn't suit my pale skin at all.

It looks absolutely gorgeous in the packaging, it does have a lovely shimmer to it and it has a wave design on it which I really like however I'm not a fan of the packaging itself. I think the white plastic packaging that some of the skin care and base products that some of the MUA products come with looks and feels slightly cheap - but at such a low cost, you can't be expecting too much. (They have since upped their game, and improved the packaging and made it look a little more expensive with the LUXE line that they have since brought out).

I will apologise now and say that there is no swatch photo for this as I couldn't get a good enough photo considering my pale skin.

Something I will say about this product though is that it is not travel friendly at all. I popped it in my bag to take to work for a couple of days - all I did was go on the bus to and from work, and after 3 days the lid had completely broken off beyond repair. Again, due to the cheap price tag that this highlighter comes with, it is to be expected although it still is rather disappointing.

Despite all the negatives that come with this highlighter, I'm still definitely glad I bought it and tried it - however, it just wasn't me. I think perhaps someone with a darker skin tone may suit it more, so I still say definitely give it a go. It's hardly going to break the bank if you decide you don't like it in the end.

Have you tried this highlighter? If no, what's your favourite highlighter to use?
