LUSH Ultrabland Facical Cleanser & Eau Roma Water Toner

As I said in my April Haul post, I went shopping with Georgina from SheMightBeLoved.com and she helped me massively with my skincare routine, as that was the thing I wasn't very good with (read: lazy). And now, she has helped me so much, and my skin thanks her a lot for it!

I was going to do this post a week or two a go, a few days after I got the products, but I wanted to give them a proper road test with them being Skin Care to see any long term effects from using them. So now, It's been over 3 weeks of using these every day, I have formed a pretty solid opinion on them.

She explained to me about the ingredients in most skin care items found in places like Boots and Superdrug, how they contain a lot of alcohol and chemicals, so she took me to Lush and telling her about my skin type - which is Normal with an Oily T-Zone, she picked out two items that would go well with my skin. I got the small sizes, as I was trying them out and wanted to make sure that they suited my skin before investing in the larger ones.

First up: Ultrabland Facial Cleanser.

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser

This cleanser is used to take your make up off, and as the name suggests, it cleanses your skin without destroying any of the skins natural defenses. Ultrabland is made with Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax and Honey, make it nice and simple to use on your skin as it contains no chemicals and alcohol. It is a thick cream consistency and is really easy to pop on your face and everything comes off without a problem - even mascara. You then rub it in and remove with cotton wool or a damp face cloth to remove it, along with the make-up. Before I had been using Simple's facewipes to remove make-up and applying moisturizer. I know, I was such a bad blogger.

Next up is Eau Roma Water:

Lush Eau Roma Water Toner

Lush Eau Roma Water Toner

Eau Roma Water is a Toner and it is made from Rose Water which helps with redness - which I get on my cheeks. It also contains lavender oil to help smooth the skin and soften it. I use this after my cleanser to help remove any make-up or cleanser that I accidentally left behind or didn't quite catch with my face cloth and to help my skin feel fresher. I then follow the toner water with a moisturizer.

After a few days, I could immediately see and feel a difference in my skin and my make-up definitely sits better on my skin, my skin is a lot softer too which I really like. I can safely say that I am definitely impressed with the skincare that LUSH provide. I have tried a few things from LUSH before - their shampoo/conditioner and their facemasks. I also have an item from their Emotional Brilliance make up range which is lurking in the deep depths of my blog and I was a big fan of everything, so I'm really not sure why I never tried out their skincare range before. I can safely say I will be picking up more items from the range as well as restocking these items as soon as they run out (I'm almost out of cleanser already!)

What are your favourite Skin Care items?

    1. I didn't think it was either. Who Knew! My only improvement I would make to it would be to put makeup remover on the packaging. It says it on the website though.x

    1. Get the smaller pots like I did - great way to introduce yourself to the brand. LUSH are also really generous with their sample pots if you want to try before you buy! x

Please don't comment just to leave your blog link - but if you actually have something to say, then I don't mind you leaving it at the end!

Thank you.
